Yoshi's Island SeriesEdit
The Flutter Jump technique was first used in the SNES game, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. It returned in the DS remake, Yoshi's Island DS, and in Yoshi: Touch and Go.
Super Mario SunshineEdit
Super Mario Sunshine was the first 3D game to have Yoshi's Flutter Jump technique. Just like in Super Mario World 2, it had the same function.
Super Mario 64 DSEdit
In the DS remake of Super Mario 64, Yoshi was turned into a playable character, and had the same Flutter Jump like in previous games.
Super Smash Bros. SeriesEdit
Yoshi is a playable character in all the Super Smash Bros. Games, and one of his signature moves is the Flutter Jump to save himself from falling off cliffs or ledges.
New Super Mario Bros. WiiEdit
In New Super Mario Bros Wii, Once Yoshi was found, the player could ride upon him. By holding in the jump button, he would perform a Flutter Jump. In the first fight with Ludwig von Koopa, Ludwig would use his Flutter Jump only once to try and land on the player. He would use it four times in the second battle.
Super Mario Galaxy 2Edit
When riding Yoshi in the second Galaxy game, he could perform a Flutter Jump while holding in the A button.
Super Mario Bros ZEdit
Just like in the games, Yoshi uses his Flutter Jump technique. It's been shown that he often performs combos with his Flutter Jumping with attacks as seen in some of the episodes.
