Dark Koopas are purple-shelled koopas that live in sewers. They were first appeared in Paper Mario series. They are merely stronger than regular Koopa Troopas and have the ability to right themselves after being flipped on their backs. They can shell toss, dizzy spin and flail. In Super Mario Bros Z, they appeared in Episode 8. They were fighting againts Mario and Sonic with the Omega Doomship soldiers. Just like other soldiers in Bowser's elite army, they were defeated easily. They didn't appeared in the credits just like Bob-ombs.
